Reflections & Conferences
There are 3 required surveys/reflections to complete this semester, each a short Google Form that will ask about the course and your experience. Plan around 10 to 15 minutes to complete each one. These will simply be marked done/not done, and will count as part of the Collaboration & Reflections course grade component. You will find an assignment for each reflection in Google Classroom at each respective point in the semester.
We will also have 2 required (and 1 optional) one-on-one conferences over the semester to reflect on the course and review your progress. Separate Google Classroom assignments will be posted with links to a sign-up schedule. The survey/reflection must be complete before we can hold the conference.
If no available times work for you, please email to arrange a time. If the sign-up schedule is empty, first double check that the assignment has is still open. If the sign-up period has not yet passed, please reach out by email.
Starting Survey & Conference
The Starting Survey and Starting Conference assignments will be posted in Google Classroom in week 1. This first, required conference is a quick, low-stress meeting to establish good communication and provide the chance to express any expectations or concerns about the course.
Mid-Semester Reflection (Conference Optional)
A required Mid-Semester Reflection survey will be posted to Google Classroom around week 6. This will help help us identify areas going well and areas needing improvement in the course.
I encourage you to sign up for an optional mid-semester conference to discuss your work, especially if you have concerns about your progress in the course. This is also a good way to become engaged in the assessment process that leads to your Midterm Progress Report and that we will use in the Ending Conference.
Ending Conference & Reflection
The final, required Ending Reflection and sign-up for the Ending Conference will be posted to Google Classroom in week 13.
The Ending Conference will be held in week 14 and conclude the couse. We will discuss your work over the entire semester, and determine your final course grade using the Course Grade Worksheet.
